Gintaras Vilda, Director of the Manufacturing Innovation Valley

Gintaras is an engineer, a prophet of manufacturing innovations and an international innovation expert of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists. He has worked as Vice Minister of the Economy and Innovation, a director of the Lithuanian Association of Engineering Industry LINPRA, chairman of PI Intechcentras and a coordinator of the Lithuanian Plastics Cluster. Gintaras has represented Lithuania in the Manufuture Technology Platform of the European Union, the European Factories of the Future Research Association EFFRA, ORGALIM, representing Europe’s technology industries, the Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-based Industries CEEMET, and thus he has accumulated extensive experience of international representation. He is also among the pioneers of the movement Industry 4.0 in Lithuania, a member of the Coordination Working Group of the platform Industry 4.0 and he has experience in the energy sector.

He has been working with manufacturing enterprises, managing engineering enterprises, creating manufacturing and technological processes, and taking part in projects developing innovative products for more than 20 years. Rolandas has extensive experience in implementation of international projects. He is able to unite the networks of engineering, design, manufacturing and marketing competences and create suitable communication channels between them. Rolandas is also a mentor of schoolchildren’s hackathons and informal education programmes.

Jolanta has 10 years of experience in helping companies both in the private and public sector identify their R&D potential and working as a cluster facilitator in Lithuania. In her capacity as head of an innovative manufacturing company, she has developed and led the R&D Project Department. Jolanta has worked for the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology, as well as consulting and manufacturing companies. Jolanta also provides consulting services on attracting investment and implementing EU investment projects.

Audrius Zabotka, Innovation expert

Audrius is a financing expert and one of the first developers of financial engineering tools promoting business funding in Lithuania and Europe. He has been working in the financial sector for more than 20 years. He oversees the projects of start-ups, enterprises with significant potential to grow, R&D, innovation introduction and expansion projects. He is a member of the expert group fi-compass of the European Commission, a founding member of the Lithuanian Business Angels Network LitBAN, and a partner of the network for consultations on business transfer, funding and international expansion NEXTchange. Audrius has worked as a member of the advisory commission of the Baltic Innovation Fund, a board member of the European Association of Guarantee Institutions AECM, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Public Investment Development Agency VIPA, and a manager and board member of UAB Investicijų ir Verslo Garantijos (INVEGA).
