G. Vilda elected board member of the European Association EFFRA

Gintaras Vilda, CEO of the Manufacturing Innovation Valley, has been elected a member of the Board of Directors of the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA)! EFFRA is an industry-driven association promoting the development of new and innovative production technologies. From 2013 to 2020, the association was the official representative of the private side in the Factories of the Future (FoF) public-private partnership with the European Union that delivered EUR 1 billion worth of joint scientific and business projects for the development of new technologies for industry.

EFFRA is an official partner of the European Commission in working towards the goals of the Made in Europe partnership, so it opens up new opportunities for Lithuanian businesses to take part in international projects.

“The Made in Europe partnership will be the voice of sustainable production and the driving force behind the twin – green and digital – transition. Its activities will encourage European industrial ecosystems to aim for global leadership in technology and circularity in industry,” Mr Vilda said.

The members of the EFFRA Board of Directors are elected by the General Assembly for a term of two years.
